President

John Y. Kim is a multi-disciplinary strategist in insurance, securities (registrations include Series 6 & 7-General Securities Representative, Series 24-General Securities Principal, Series 63 & 65-Equivalent to The Uniform Combined State Law Examination with LPL Financial), and investment management. He entered the financial services industry in 1995.

 

In light of September 11, John pursued and received a commission as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy Reserves in February of 2002. He served the first 4 years assigned to the Office of Naval Intelligence at Wright Patterson, Air Force Base and finished his remaining service with U.S. Forces at Japan Det 105, Yokota, Air Force Base. With the threat of Osama Bin Laden no longer an American concern, John immediately following requested and received an Honorable Discharge, September 11, 2011, ten years to the day, but still holds a security clearance.

 

John is a graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, Prep Division. He has performed in countries all over the world, including Egypt, Israel, Pakistan, Nepal, India and countries in Europe. He has also earned:

 

·        A Bachelor of Arts from Bowling Green State University on full scholarship

·        A law degree from the University of Akron School of Law (Juris Doctorate)

·        A Masters of Law in taxation (LL.M.) from Case Western Reserve University School of Law

 

John currently resides in Copley. He is very active in his church, enjoys boating and entertaining family and friends.  John is passionate about racing cars and is a member of various car clubs.
